This week on The Chatroom, Hope Matjokane contacted us on our facebook page, saying she had previously seen one of our episodes and would like us to help her. She was raped in 2005, and she felt that she could not move on from the ordeal. We at The Chatroom then put her in touch with a rape survivor, where she opened up for the first time about this.
Her speaking to Thoko also gave her the courage to speak to a group of girls who had also gone through the same thing. We had a surprise guest for Hope, as she has always had a love for dancing. So be sure not to miss all this and more on Mzansi F’sho!
The Chatroom is a talk show that explores issues of ethics and values that people, young and old, have to deal with in their everyday lives. Each episode, presented by Sarah Thabethe, features two debating teams that argue a moral issue in front of an audience with religious and moral subject experts, ordinary viewers and celebrities.
The Chatroom is broadcast on SABC 1, Sundays at 11:00.
